- Gaming Trend – A professional gaming website. Offers the latest gaming news, reviews, previews, media, and more. I work here as a full time staff member.
- Quarter to Three – A gaming blog-type website by Tom Chick, a very interesting figure in the games industry. The forums are the underground center of the gaming industry.
- vgamin – An evolved gaming press website that is now more of a general webmaster resource, but has some great community members.
Extended Recommendations
Sites I recommend, but more of a resource than an active site I participate in.
- Google – Everyone knows of Google. What many people don’t know is how to use it for e-mail, documents, spreadsheets, to-do list, a dynamic start page, calendar, photo uploading, and more. I plan on going in detail on this a bit later.
- YouTube – A very useful tool for uploading videos – as they are transferred into Flash. For streaming, this is a bit better as streaming video gets a bit tricky, as browsers and video formats make things a hassle sometimes. Flash is about as universal as you can get, so I like using YouTube for most videos, despite its lower quality.
