College

I’m living at Shepherd University now… have been for over a month. Dorms are a bit tight, but it’s fun to move out of home and live on your home. Though time has been very tight, and that’s why I haven’t really updated my blog as much as I would have liked. My major is Mass Communication, Minor in Journalism. You can check out my courses and schedule under the calendar link above. Or just goto http://www.mattc0m.com/calandar/ The best way to keep in touch is via e-mail or Facebook Facebook E-mail If you aren’t getting my updates, simply send me an e-mail...

And we're back!

And we're back!

If you came to the site yesterday from Google or Firefox 3, you may have noticed that the website was being blocked! Apparently, the Google Bot found a piece of malicious code in an old blog post. It’s not much to worry about – your computer is likely not infected by anything. I’ve already removed the code and submitted the site for review – and it looks like we’re up again! I’ve been really busy the past couple weeks, so I haven’t updated the site as much as I’ve like. I’ve got some blogs to write about some projects I’ve been...

So I just got a 30GB Brown Zune about a week ago and been fooling around with this bad boy all week. All I can say is "Wow". This thing is amazing. First, it syncs with everything automatically. All my music, video, playlists, pictures, and more are automatically put right onto the Zune’s HD – my entire media library was ready to go in like 20 minutes. I spent maybe another 20-30 minutes going through and "Hearting" songs I liked, creating a custom playlist, and a "Smart" playlist (which sorts songs using a variety of filters). Very intuitive. The...

Going to QuakeCon

This is my big LAN tournament this year, and it’s shaping up to be a good one. The site I created a few months ago, EnemyTerritory.tv, has been invited to cover the event as Press. This means me, as well as the staff of the site, all have press passes. Sweet! Also, looking to compete. I really wanted to get on an existing team’s roster, but it looks like more and more we will be putting together a team of ringers at the last minute. Oh well! QuakeCon is July 31 – August 3rd. I’ll be flying out there with a good friend of mine who works on the EnemyTerritory.tv site as...

5 Days Till 20?!

Posted by on May 15, 2008 in Personal | 0 comments

It’s incredible, to realize in just 5 days I’m going to be 20. Holy crap, I’m not a teenager anymore… I’m (almost) an adult. Crap! That means more responsibilities. Having responsibility is completely overrated, or so I’ve come to believe. What’s weird is there is very little that I actually want for my birthday. I remember just a couple years ago I would have lists of video games, music, movies, and sports equipment that I wanted. Yeah, only nerds make lists of stuff they want, apparently. Now, the only thing I really want is a car or a decent girl....
