Battlefield: Bad Company Beta Impressions

I got into the Battlefield: Bad Company Closed Beta on the Xbox 360, and I’ve been giving it a spin the past couple days. So far… it’s been quite a pleasant experience. While still Battlefield at it’s heart, Bad Company feels like a cross between Mercenaries, Battlefield 2, and Call of Duty 4. Which, I must say, has turned out pretty well so far. The biggest and most exciting new feature is that everything is destructible. You can blow away trees, walls, and even entire buildings. It reminded me a lot of Mercenaries in this way – one of my favorite console...

Mass Effect Review

I bought Mass Effect about two weeks ago, and just blew through it. I’ve played previous BioWare RPGs, but Mass Effect really blew me away. Jade Empire was a bit hit and miss, and many people were afraid a non-KOTOR RPG wouldn’t be worth playing. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case at all. Read the review on my site, or you can use the no frills Google Docs to view a pure text version. Note that I break...

UPDATE: Got my laptop working! Should have my first review up by Thursday, then new content during the weekend. So in my last blog, I mentioned a little something about a week full of fun and excitement with new media & reviews for a ton of games including, but not limited to, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, and Team Fortress 2. Well, I had already written the entire reviews – on my laptop. My laptop will not power on and I’m incredibly pissed. Thus, I haven’t got any of these reviews to you, since I can’t get to them. In the...

I'm back!

Posted by on Nov 26, 2007 in Games Journalism, Gaming, Personal | 1 comment

Was out on a vacation in the Outer Banks for awhile, and I’m back now. Good news is I’ve got some content written up, that I just need to polish and process before posting it up. I have reviews written and ready for Team Fortress 2, Mass Effect, and Call of Duty 4. I’m also considering on writing reviews for Portal, Half-Life Episode 2, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, BioShock, or Halo 3. Not exactly the latest stuff, but I’m doing all this on my own budget, and I’m busy with a lot of other stuff. What I’d really like to do is get a capture card, so I...
