What is Brink TV?

We’ve got a lot of e-mails, tweets, and Facebook messages coming at us. What is Brink TV? Well, folks, here you have it. In a nutshell: it’s a website that provides live broadcasts of competitive matches and community-related events. Our streams are top-tier, professional grade, the commentary is also spot-on and occasionally comical, and we have a commitment to interact with our community. The founders of Brink TV have a lot of experience with these professional “shoutcasts” (another word for broadcasting live games with commentary). We come from Enemy Territory TV, which is a site...

FPS Gaming Community Launched

FPS Gaming Community launched earlier this month, and I’m very proud of how it’s turned out. It runs off a WordPress installation, but it’s very non-blog-like in functionality. It’s got a nice Web 2.0 feel to it, while having this great dark, blue glowing vibrancy to it. I got the theme from Elegant Themes (I’m now a huge fan), and edited it quite extensively. I was co-hosting the cast, and it was very cool to watch. There was some awesome moments, and luckily they’ve all been captured. GreasedScotsman, the lead shoutcaster and web developer, has put together a brief highlight reel of the most...

Going to QuakeCon

Posted by on Jun 1, 2008 in Competitive, Personal | 0 comments

This is my big LAN tournament this year, and it’s shaping up to be a good one. The site I created a few months ago, EnemyTerritory.tv, has been invited to cover the event as Press. This means me, as well as the staff of the site, all have press passes. Sweet! Also, looking to compete. I really wanted to get on an existing team’s roster, but it looks like more and more we will be putting together a team of ringers at the last minute. Oh well! QuakeCon is July 31 – August 3rd. I’ll be flying out there with a good friend of mine who works on the EnemyTerritory.tv site as...
