I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m no fan of Sony, and I’ll try to pimp my dear Xbox whether possible. But, Xbox is dead and the 360 is just out of my price range at the moment, so I’ve shifted my focus over to the PS2. And lately, I’ve been shifting my focus way too much.
In the past 2 weeks I’ve played The Sims 2 Pets (for review), Bully, Blitz: The League, Dragon Quest VII, and a little bit of both Harvest Moon (for my little brother) and Kingdom Hearts (for my sister). And to be honest, I like them all a lot, except perhaps The Sims 2 Pets… which is really meant to be played on a PC instead of a console.
Dragon Quest has some remarkable charm and wit to it’s style, and Level 5 seemed to have had a lot of fun making it. My collection of mini medals goes well, while my Monster Team is getting near the top ranks.
Bully is simply remarkable. Rockstar has some great storytelling ability, while making everything just slightly wacky and edgy. Bully has a huge GTA feel, yet I’m enjoying it more than I did San Andreas. Nothing like maxing out your kissing ability to get 100% bonus health.
The more I play Blitz, the more I like it. I understand how to get a few sacks a game, which is all it really takes to tilt the balance. And I’m loving the Clash moves to make some remarkable game changing moves on Offense. Nothing like being down by 8 points with 2 minutes to go and over half the field to go through, to make a remarkable Hail Mary pass while I’m being tackled, the receiver comes back and dodges all the defenders, gets the TD, and ties the game. But then I lost in Overtime… but I still couldn’t get over that play.
Harvest Moon and Kingdom Hearts are both games for my younger siblings. I’m not a huge fan of them, but they’re both good games and I enjoy picking up and helping them through hard parts, even though I wouldn’t get much fun playing it as much as I do my other games, they are solid titles none the less.
My PC has been sadly neglected, as I don’t have my computer setup at my house yet – it’s been about 2 weeks since I’ve even seen it. Still, I got Space Rangers 2 installed on my laptop today, so I’ll have some fun playing that while the computer space is setup at our new place.икони
