So I was packing up to go home after eating some food at the Mom’s, when all of a sudden she smacks me with this question…
What kind of camcorder do you want?
Now, I don’t know about you but I’ve always wanted a camcorder. After seeing some great YouTube videos, I always say to myself “You know what, that was awesome but I could do better.” Now, I get a chance. Now I’m thinking about it, I wonder to myself… what sort of original content would I make? Or would I just use it for family stuff? I’ve been brainstorming a lot, since I want to use it for more than just family stuff.
But that’s not the point. The point is I’ve been given the task to hunt down and find the best camcorder possible… for under $300. That sort of tight budget means a somewhat crappy cam, but I’m hoping to get the best value possible for my that $300.
Canon Elura 100 – It’s $300 on the buck, seems to have good reviews, and it’s performacne is a step up over most budget-level cameras. The only thing that deters this decision is average low-light performance – since I imagine a far part, if not the majority, of the flims would be recorded indoors (low light). I keep looking around, but still can’t find a much better deal.
